DESCARGANEGATIVA is a hardcore band from Goiania, Goias,Brazil. Since this band came to
life it had and has been a great influence for some people in this local scene.I
talk with WALKIR INSETU SILVEIRA, the
DNHC vocalist and founder.
Q1. TELL US WHAT THE HELL IS DESCARGA NEGATIVA?
The old DNHC is and always will be a vehicle of communication and expresses itself the philosophy of not adopting, before everything that is contradictory to our thoughts and lifestyle.
DESCARGA NEGATIVA came to vomit, lay out everything that suffocates us.

Q3.O DESCARGA NEGATIVA began in
2001, but the it did not start as a hardcore band, what made the band change?
3-in fact we started
in late 2000, I and EDER CAVE already were doing
songs on guitar, then we spent some time rehearsing in an old library with CLEVER and EDER
both on guitars. On
that time there was no clear-cut or
held in any genre. However it was hardcore
in the vein, we just needed to find the ones
in place to start it properly, a band that had no name yet.
The goal was to throw all that bother us, the
most hate as possible because we
always been told that we could not do this or that, that is what bothered us.
We rehearsed for like 4 to 5 months, it was all a fun, friends gathering every Sunday and even had HELIZA PAULINO on vocals for brief.

Meanwhile early 2001,
coming from Brasilia, where the punk scene was
and still is very strong, VANDERIO FEZES appeared
and with him on drums began DESCARGA NEGATIVA. INSETO, FEZES and CAVE, rehearsed a couple of months vocals, guitar and drums .
After trying few bassists, one night in one of our night walks, wasted, we found LUCAS STOPA, the next day we fall into the studio for the first time and then we were a band. I remember the first song played was Descarga Negativa eponymous song, when finished looked at each other and with no word said STOPA became the bass player, soon after STOPA brought JEAN CARLOU DUARTIEU “THE OSTAQUE” for the second guitar spot.

04. WHAT IS THE most difficult
to keep a band like DNHC?
Dude when you literally medley with reality, and
you are challenged all the time by
family, work and society in general and you have to live the war against everything and everyone.
The band ends up being a refuge, an escape valve.
The worst part is when money is enough only to pay the studio and not for the booze, if there is money at all. LOL

TALK ABOUT THE
MAJOR INFLUENCES
OF THE BAND.
we heard many things at first that may in some way to
have influenced us, but I
believe that MOB APE that was still living in Paraiba, was one
of our favorite bands, it was one of the last k-7 demo
tape circulating out
here ( note: it
was my tape and has whereabouts unknown, I believe is was called
VITIMAS). the compilation punk SUB with
COLERA, PSYKOZE, FOGO CRUZADO, RATOS DE PORAO, FDS, SEM DESTINO, ARD, HC-137,
DEAD KENNEDYS, AGROTOXICO e ETC ...
Q.6.WICH IS THE BEST GIG THE BAND HAS PLAYED SINCE IT STARTED ?
All were spectacular and had
their importance, most of our
gigs were emblematic, always had something going on.
There was one that we had a few boxes of expired beer sponsored by KAPITAO KUZIO and put some creatine and vodka in the mix and went up as Marcelo Nova would say one thousand kilometres per hour. We were so fast that we had a repertoire of 14 songs and played seven songs spliced into one another without stopping, when the eighth came anyone could take it anymore, the band had to wait a bit and get off the stage, the ones in the crowd that was enjoying the show sat unable to keep going anymore, that was the end of the night for most.
Maybe the most important was a brawl that destroyed the Maqna Rock (local club from early 00’s), it was very beautiful, but not because of the violence but for not accepting an imposition and a movement that was happening (some nu-metal kids). They did not respected us and were taking the piss all the time, from the order of bands, we didn’t care, we just wanted to play, but they insisted to do a doubtful raffle that made us to be the first band of the night, in the end the only one that played on that night after we played we had to teach some respect to this new wave of ignorance being spread.. It is a long story to tell all but who was there know what happened.
The shows in Morrinhos GO are also classics (MORRAIS DISGRACE 1 and 2 which was born after a benefit concert has been canceled , apparently because there was more punks than it is accepted by a community that is highly “moralistic and conservative”) and has many stories, the shows in Aparecida de Goiania-GO both the TATURANA’S BAR ones and the PARIS ROCK that had the legendary moment which after the band finished the gig , STOPA that had played all set without hearing his bass, receiving electric shocks he raise his bass and screams his heart out “AQUI E DE ROCHA” (meaning something like we kick ass). João Pinheiro (MG) gig was also unforgetable.

the band will be releasing some
material?
Mate we took 11 years to do
an e-mail for the band, now we
made a page in the facebook. LOL
we are going to
record a demo very soon
and then immediately begin to work in the album .

I want to thank
all friends who have always been with us at shows, rehearsals, the TAJ MAHAL (home in Goiania, where INSETU and KAPITAO lived and
everyone involved with DNHC used to meet) and the brawls that have not
been few.
We are back with full gas and continuing our way with the same libertarian purpose.
However I want to congratulate this attitude, even away from the scene still contributing in a way so classic that is the zine and the opportunity to talk about DESCARGA NEGATIVA because it had never occurred, this year is being very productive us, news, links, we will record our first demo and several cool gigs.
